As you can see in the intricate, hands-on work of our artisan, our rugs are custom-made by hand using hand-dyed wool, ensuring each piece is truly unique and artisanal. While machines produce consistently perfect rugs, we know that the beauty of this art cannot be mechanized. We will always trade flawless imitation for unique artisanship. Perfection is found in the unique, not the standard.

2. Blueprint vs. Artisanal Interpretation

We work directly with talented Moroccan weavers, collaborating to achieve both modern and traditional designs. Often, our artisans reference a visual blueprint, as seen resting on the wooden bench alongside our weavers. As a result of our trust in our weavers, we admit that all of our rugs may not be perfectly straight or identical to the design. This handcrafted process may result in slight color variations and design differences, making every rug one-of-a-kind.

3. The Unmatched Feel of Hand-Picked Wool

Notice the incredible texture of the geometric pattern shown above. The foundation of our rugs is made completely from wool sourced from the markets of Morocco and skillfully spun by hand. Using our unique wool foundation ensures that our rugs maintain a luxuriously soft and plush feel as opposed to the stiff, machine-manufactured alternative. You will be amazed by the feel of our thick, plush rugs - they are soft enough to sleep on!

When planning your space, it is also important to consider our traditional finishing techniques. Our rugs feature a fringe and apron measuring up to 6” on each side. This means the total length of the rug is typically up to 12” longer than the listed size, as the dimensions provided reflect only the piled portion of the rug, which is standard practice. We are happy to accommodate your preferences, such as no fringe or bound ends, as well as small customizations to color or specific dimensions.
